Gothic 1 Remake: A Faithful and Modernized Remake of the Classic Game
Gothic 1 Remake is a full remake of the original Gothic 1 game, developed by Piranha Bytes for the PlayStation 4 platform. The game is set in the Kingdom of Myrtana, which has been invaded by an army of orcs. King Rhobar II needs magical ore to forge weapons, and uses prisoners to work the Khorinis mines. A magical barrier is created to prevent escape, but it goes wrong, and the prisoners take control of the mines. The arrival of an unknown prisoner changes everything.
The game features a modernized combat system that takes the basic premises of the original combat system and updates it for a modern audience. Players return to The Colony, where they must rediscover the world of the mining colony, its secrets, and challenges. Players take on the role of the Nameless Hero, a lifetime convicted prisoner who must survive in a world of wild animals, creatures, and dangerous convicts.
